# RealHW > Hardware-aware GitLab execution and a Python REST client for hardware discovery and interactive console reservations. The CLI is early access, installed from an authorized checkout, and is not published on PyPI. Start with the agent setup guide. Use the live API for current hardware and supported operations; examples are not fleet inventories. CLI 0.3.0 supports preview image workloads, logs and artifacts when advertised by the server. CLI 0.4.0 adds preview-first GitLab webhook onboarding: realhw runners webhook inspect/configure. Check live capabilities before use. ## Start here - [Agent instructions](https://docs.realhw.dev/AGENTS.md): Public client-use guidance. - [Agent setup](https://docs.realhw.dev/get-started/agent-setup/index.md): Pinned installation, authentication, verification, and troubleshooting. - [CLI contract](https://docs.realhw.dev/guides/cli/index.md): JSON output, exit codes, and discovery. - [Live operations](https://realhw.dev/api/v1/capabilities): Machine-readable server capabilities. - [GitLab webhook onboarding](https://docs.realhw.dev/guides/gitlab-webhook/index.md): Scoped event setup, preview/apply, audit IDs and delivery verification. ## Existing native job inspection Use realhw ops jobs inspect JOB_UUID --json with explicit REALHW_OPS_API_BASE and REALHW_OPS_TOKEN. Read Ops policy first; the command requires the advertised jobs.inspection GET operation at /admin/realhw/jobs/{job_id}/inspection and refuses an absent capability without a fallback route. A local command does not prove server deployment. The native JSON preserves unknown fields, null and decimal-string counters exactly. Job status, fleet binding, direct queue, lease and pod metadata are retained observations, not proof of live execution, compiler activity, image pull or provider health. No live provider or Kubernetes API probe is performed; missing observations remain unknown. Error fields last_dispatch_error, failure_reason and direct_execution.last_error are null when no error text is retained, or an object with sha256 and withheld:true when private text exists. The digest binds the exact retained UTF-8 bytes; it supplies no public summary or provider diagnosis. Raw errors, payloads, environment values, credentials and backend configuration are excluded. This read never starts, retries, cancels or repairs work. ## Documentation - [Get started](https://docs.realhw.dev/get-started/index.md): Connect RealHW to GitLab and run jobs on selected hardware. - [Set up with your agent](https://docs.realhw.dev/get-started/agent-setup/index.md): Install the checkout-based RealHW client, authenticate, and verify read-only access. - [Choose a runner](https://docs.realhw.dev/get-started/choose-a-runner/index.md): Pick GitLab-compatible SaaS tags and RealHW hardware markers. - [Connect a GitLab project](https://docs.realhw.dev/get-started/connect-gitlab-project/index.md): Add RealHW as a project runner for GitLab. - [Run your first job](https://docs.realhw.dev/get-started/run-your-first-job/index.md): Use a GitLab-compatible SaaS runner tag with RealHW. - [GitLab CI examples](https://docs.realhw.dev/gitlab/gitlab-ci-examples/index.md): Copy-paste RealHW jobs for common hardware targets. - [Managed runner setup](https://docs.realhw.dev/gitlab/managed-runner-setup/index.md): Let RealHW create and manage the GitLab project runner. - [Manual runner import](https://docs.realhw.dev/gitlab/manual-runner-import/index.md): Import an existing GitLab project runner token. - [Project runners](https://docs.realhw.dev/gitlab/project-runner/index.md): How RealHW appears to GitLab. - [Troubleshooting](https://docs.realhw.dev/gitlab/troubleshooting/index.md): Diagnose runner selection, disk capacity, and KVM execution failures. - [API keys](https://docs.realhw.dev/guides/api-keys/index.md): Authenticate scripts with scoped RealHW credentials. - [Python client and CLI](https://docs.realhw.dev/guides/cli/index.md): Use RealHW from a terminal, Python script, or LLM agent. - [Debug runner selection](https://docs.realhw.dev/guides/debug-runner-selection/index.md): Diagnose why a GitLab job did not run on the expected hardware. - [GitLab event onboarding](https://docs.realhw.dev/guides/gitlab-webhook/index.md): Inspect and configure project-scoped GitLab job and pipeline event delivery through the API or CLI. - [Run an image workload](https://docs.realhw.dev/guides/run-image-workload/index.md): Run a one-shot OCI image with RealHW and collect logs and artifacts. - [Run on a 25G NIC](https://docs.realhw.dev/guides/run-on-25g-nic/index.md): Select a host with a 25G network interface. - [Run on ARM64](https://docs.realhw.dev/guides/run-on-arm64/index.md): Select ARM64 RealHW capacity from GitLab CI. - [Run on a GPU](https://docs.realhw.dev/guides/run-on-gpu/index.md): Select GPU hardware from GitLab CI. - [Run with hugepages](https://docs.realhw.dev/guides/run-with-hugepages/index.md): Reserve hugepages for a GitLab job. - [Run with SR-IOV](https://docs.realhw.dev/guides/run-with-sriov/index.md): Reserve SR-IOV virtual functions for a GitLab job. - [Service boundaries and pilot readiness](https://docs.realhw.dev/guides/service-boundaries/index.md): What RealHW currently supports and what requires an agreed pilot configuration. - [Hardware markers](https://docs.realhw.dev/hardware-markers/index.md): Select RealHW capacity with GitLab runner tags. - [Advanced reservations](https://docs.realhw.dev/hardware-markers/advanced-reservations/index.md): Use HW variables for explicit resource requests. - [CPU and architecture](https://docs.realhw.dev/hardware-markers/cpu-and-architecture/index.md): Select CPU architecture and SIMD capabilities. - [GitLab-compatible tags](https://docs.realhw.dev/hardware-markers/gitlab-compatible-tags/index.md): Use familiar GitLab SaaS runner tags on RealHW. - [GPU markers](https://docs.realhw.dev/hardware-markers/gpu/index.md): Select GPU vendor, model, and count. - [Network markers](https://docs.realhw.dev/hardware-markers/network/index.md): Select NIC driver, speed, tier, and SR-IOV-capable capacity. - [NUMA and hugepages](https://docs.realhw.dev/hardware-markers/numa-and-hugepages/index.md): Select NUMA topology and reserve hugepages. - [RealHW](https://docs.realhw.dev/index.md): Developer documentation for hardware-aware GitLab runners. - [GitLab tags](https://docs.realhw.dev/reference/gitlab-tags/index.md): RealHW tag behavior for GitLab CI jobs. - [HW variables](https://docs.realhw.dev/reference/hw-variables/index.md): Resource reservation variables for RealHW jobs. - [Job examples](https://docs.realhw.dev/reference/job-examples/index.md): RealHW GitLab CI job snippets. - [Marker catalog](https://docs.realhw.dev/reference/marker-catalog/index.md): Complete RealHW marker families. - [Known limitations](https://docs.realhw.dev/status/known-limitations/index.md): Current RealHW limitations customers should know. - [Supported capabilities](https://docs.realhw.dev/status/supported-capabilities/index.md): Current customer-facing RealHW capabilities. ## Optional - [Complete documentation](https://docs.realhw.dev/llms-full.txt): All published docs in one file; individual pages are smaller.
